The Division of Infectious Disease at Brigham & Women's Hospital offers clinical outpatient and inpatient consultation services. The division conducts research at several locations, including Channing Laboratory, Harvard School of Public Health and the Department of Social Medicine at Harvard Medical School. It operates a microbiology laboratory that provides a range of procedures for the isolation and identification of bacterial, fungal, parasitic and viral infections and conducts serology tests for infectious agents. Additionally, the division s areas of investigation include viral and bacterial pathogenesis, HIV drug resistance and clinical epidemiology.
