With its brick Georgian Revival style architecture, this is the oldest firehouse in the City of Boston. Some of the details are striking, including windows with Doric pediments, a brass fire pole and part of the original tin ceiling. The firehouse is occasionally opened to the public as part of historic tours of Charlestown, but if you're in the neighborhood and want to take a peek inside, ask one of the firefighters stationed there for a quick tour. This is part of the city's District 3 unit.
