Bolton Police Department is a crime prevention agency serving Bolton in Massachusetts. The department practices community policing, and hires many town residents as dispatchers and police officers. Various programs initiated by the police department include crime prevention resources, Internet safety links, drug abuse resistance education program, Project KidCare, state police interactive driver's test, and the rape aggression defense training program. The Bolton Police Department has officers who are certified by the state of Massachusetts as Child Passenger Safety Seat technicians. These officers attend a 32-hour training course provided by the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration and the Massachusetts Governor's Highway Safety Bureau, and serve as a resource to the residents of Bolton regarding the proper installation of child car and booster seats. It has a diversified fleet of five vehicles, four of the vehicles are used in regular police service, while the fifth is utilized for Dare functions and public relations at special events.
