Barbara McInnis House is a part of the Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program, which provides health care services for homeless individuals and families. Established in 1985, it is a 90-bed inpatient facility that provides wound care therapy and a variety of nutrition management programs. It also provides a variety of medical services, including intravenous therapy, feeding tubes, wound care, respiratory care and assistance in daily activities. The center offers a range of health care services for individuals with Alzheimer's disease, blindness, dental ailments, drug and alcohol addiction and mental disabilities. It provides skilled medical and nursing care for patients with cancer, heart diseases, pneumonia, aids, at-risk pregnancy and chronic diseases. Barbara McInnis House provides recuperative care for patients recovering from chemotherapy and radiation treatments, fractures, surgery and other postoperative problems. It is located in Jamaica Plain, Mass.
