History
BAGLY was established in 1980 as one of the first LGBTQ+ Youth organizations in the country. BAGLY provides social support, leadership development and health promotion programming for LGBTQ+ youth and creates safe, non-exploitative environments where members can make friends, share experiences, and access support. BAGLY's programs support LGBTQ+ youth in building community to reduce feelings of isolation, and build self-esteem; increase opportunities for positive youth outcomes; and develop social justice leadership, community organizing and advocacy skills. On February 14, 2013, BAGLY expanded our services by initiating a new Sexual Health Services Clinic located at our brand new LGBTQ+ Youth Community Center! This new initiative represents a unique collaboration between BAGLY and Fenway Health, and is supported by funding from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and individual donors.
