Dr. Lorenzana earned his medical degree at the Universidad Francisco Marroquin in his native Guatemala and trained in Internal Medicine in both Guatemala and at Sinai Hospital in Detroit. He completed Fellowships in Critical Care Medicine and in Pulmonary Medicine at UMass-Worcester. Dr. Lorenzana practiced Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine in Fall River in the past, and was most recently the Chief of Pulmonary Medicine and the ICU Director at Cabell Huntington Hospital in West Virginia. He was an Associate Professor of Medicine at Marshall University School of Medicine in Huntington and has taught, lectured, and performed research throughout his career. Dr. Lorenzana's many professional accomplishments include the founding of a COPD Exacerbation Clinic and a Lung Nodule Clinic in West Virginia. He is Board-certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and Critical Care. He is a member of The American College of Chest Physicians and the Society of Critical Care Medicine. Dr. Lorenzana is fluent in English, Spanish, and German. He sees patients in consultation in his Prima CARE office in Building 7 on the main Prima CARE campus and practices at St. Anne's and Charlton Memorial Hospitals in Fall River.
