Founded in 1976, Western Heights Middle School serves more than 650 students in grades six through eight. Its academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as English, math, science, social studies and language arts. The school offers foreign language sessions in Spanish. In addition, Western Heights Middle School offers emotional support, reading intervention and guidance counseling services to students. It also supports a variety of extracurricular programs in band, chorus, health education, and fine and performing arts. Located in Hagerstown, Md., Western Heights Middle School is a part of Washington County Public Schools, which operates several elementary, middle and high schools.
