HistoryArtworks Fine Art Studio, located in McLean,Potomac and Bethesda is dedicated to teaching the fundamentals of fine art. Our programs focus is on the fundamentals of drawing and painting. Classes take place in a highly creative, instructive environment. At Artworks, we believe that everyone has the ability to learn to draw and paint. We use a unique step-by-step process which help children produce beautiful works of art, while at the same time, building self esteem. Students begin by learning basic drawing and pastel techniques, which builds a strong foundation for the student to learn the fundamentals of art. Erin Johnson, a Bethesda native started the program when she realized there was need for Art education in the Washington DC area.SpecialtiesArtworks Fine Art Studio offers drawing and painting art classes to children, teens, and adults, at all levels. Students may enroll at any time for art classes. Free introductory classes are offered for all new students age 5-17. Artworks curriculum focuses on teaching each student individually. Having a small student to teacher ratio ensures every student at every level gets in-depth guidance and instruction. Classes run month to month. Come and try a free introductory class and let your creativity run wild. Camps are offered year-round, with School's Out Day Camp, Summer Camp, Spring Break Camp, and Winter Camp. Artworks camps typically run from 9am-3pm with before and after care options available. Artworks is the ART in pARTy! We have painting and pastels parties for all ages.
