The Department of Recreation and Parks is governed by the City of Baltimore in Maryland. The department is responsible for providing environmental, cultural, educational and leisure opportunities. It manages an aquatics division that offers swimming lessons. The department also operates more than 60 recreation centers that host cooking classes, talent shows and gymnasium activities.
