Founded in 1974, Stedwick Elementary School offers classes to students in prekindergarten through grade five. It has a parent-teacher association that participates in school curriculum and student development activities. It operates a daily lunch program at its cafeteria. The school has a guidance department consisting of counselors and psychologists who look into emotional and social needs of students. Its curriculum includes English, math, science and social studies. It also provides various extracurricular activities, such as instrumental music, arts, physical education, chess, drama and sports. Stedwick Elementary School is operated by the Montgomery County Public Schools system, which is one of the largest school districts in Maryland.
