Saint Mary School, established in 1874 by the School Sisters of Notre Dame, is one of several schools in the Archdiocese of Baltimore. It is a Catholic educational institution that serves more than 260 students in kindergarten through grade eight. It teaches a variety of subjects, including language arts, literature, English, mathematics and social studies. Saint Mary School also specializes in religion classes that focus on worshipping practices. The school offers art and computer classes. It additionally maintains a library that features over 5,500 books and reference materials. Saint Mary School provides a physical education curriculum that includes sports, parachute activities and several fitness exercises. It employs a staff of a media specialist, librarian, music teacher, classroom assistant, school nurse and educators.
