Robert A. McFarland has been an attorney for over twenty years practicing in the areas of commercial and residential real estate, corporate, commercial transactions, domestic relations, guardianship and estates and trusts, bankruptcy and creditors rights law. More recently, he has developed a mediation practice in divorce, custody and marital property issues and in civil disputes generally in the same areas in which he practices law. Robert McFarland was born in Baltimore, Maryland and raised in Maryland and in other parts of the United States. He received his BA degree in 1976 from Ursinus College in Pennsylvania and returned to Maryland and received his law degree in 1981 from the University Of Baltimore School Of Law. Mr. McFarland began his career during the early 1980's in private general and litigation practice in Frederick, Maryland. He moved to Baltimore and became chief underwriting counsel to Real Estate Title Company, the sole Baltimore Agency of Lawyers Title Insurance Company at that time, as well as becoming a partner of the law firm of Neubauer and DeLuca practicing in real estate, secured lending and commercial transactions. Later, he represented lending institutions in Baltimore in commercial transactions, banking regulation, creditor's rights and bankruptcy while practicing with the law firm of Power and Mosner, Towson, Maryland.
