Founded in 1931, the Odenton Volunteer Fire Company (OVFC) is the primary fire department and emergency responder for all of Odenton and parts of Severn, Millersville and Gambrills.
The non-profit company has more than 150 members and 14 line officers, ensuring there is always a team ready to respond to any emergency. Five career firefighters from Anne Arundel County are also assigned to the company. It has three fire engines and one ambulance. The OVFC hosts a carnival on its grounds each summer.
