Founded in 1970, the National Association of Community Health Centers provides community-responsive health care for America s medically underserved and uninsured people. It primarily offers a variety of health-related information, data, research and advocacy on key issues. The organization provides education, training, technical assistance and leadership development for health center staff, boards and other professionals. In addition, it has partnerships and linkages with public and private investment companies and delivers health care services to medically underserved communities. Located in Bethesda, Md., the National Association of Community Health Centers works through a shared mission with various organizations, including the Chartered State and Regional Primary Care Associations and Health Center Networks.
