The National Agricultural Library is one of the leading national libraries in the United States. It maintains a collection of agricultural information resources, such as books, seed trade catalogs, photographs and posters. The library provides books on animals, food and nutrition, agricultural history and art, laws and regulations, research and technology, plants and crops. The National Agricultural Library also offers information on rural and community development, horticulture, entomology, poultry sciences, natural resources and environment. It is a part of the United States Department of Agriculture and operates an online gift shop. The library is a member of the Association of Research Libraries. Headquartered in Beltsville, Md., the National Agricultural Library also maintains locations in Washington.
