Borvin Beverage is a wine importer and wholesale distributor. Retail clients include Harris Teeter, Whole Foods, Old Town Theater, Fern Street Gourmet and such local restaurants as Bastille, Idylwood Grill and Pines of Italy. Owner Donald Mikovch began distributing wines in Virginia and Washington, D.C ., in 1987. His select wines come from France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Mexico, Argentina, California and Washington State. After traveling the world, Mikovch realized that the U.S. was deprived of many wonderful wines. He decided to change that by opening his import business. Borvin's philosophy is to provide local customers with high-quality wines at affordable prices.
