Mattaponi Elementary School is in School District 9. The school serves grades kindergarden to sixth. Uniforms are mandatory for all students. There is before and after care available. The school is able to identifiy TAG students and provides pull-out TAG.
There is a PTO, Parent Teacher Organization, open to all parents. Mattaponi Elementary School participates in several programs that donate money to the school such as Giant, Safeway, and Food Lion, At&T and Target.
