The State of Maryland Treasurer's Office is comprised of an executive office and various administration, banking services, data processing, debt management, insurance, investments and legal divisions. It is the principal custodian of the state s cash deposits, monies from bond sales and other securities. The office s legal division provides a variety of services related to contract preparation and review, the drafting and review of legislation and representation in litigation matters. The State of Maryland Treasurer's Office banking services division is responsible for procuring and managing the banking needs of several agencies of the state. Additionally, its information technology division oversees local area networking, Internet access, e-mail, application development, Web site management, software evaluation and alternative data communications for the state. The State of Maryland Treasurer's Office is located in Annapolis, Md.
