History
The Ag Center began in 2003 with an idea and a dream concocted by a group of committed local farmers. In partnership with Baltimore County, that dream became a reality with the creation of the 150 acre Baltimore County Center for Maryland Agriculture and Farm Park in Cockeysville. This volunteer-driven organization raised funds and put in the sweat equity necessary to bring the abandoned farm property back to life, and create an agricultural showcase of innovative farming techniques, a center for agricultural research, an outdoor classroom, and an incubator for future farmers.
