Founded in 1951, Maiden Choice School offers a range of academic options to individuals with autism, developmental disorders and multiple disabilities. The school serves more than 100 students between the ages of 3 and 21. Its curriculum includes vocational education, music, art, and communication and interpersonal skills development. Maiden Choice School provides several student support services, including occupational, speech and physical therapies. It administers Extended School Year and Treatment and Education of Autistic and related Communication-Handicapped Children programs. The school maintains a library that features a collection of print and electronic resources. In addition, Maiden Choice School operates the Booster club, as well as a parent-teacher association. It is a part of Baltimore County Public Schools, which governs various educational institutions.
