Leisure World is an age-restricted private community located in Montgomery County, Md. There are approximately 8,500 people residing in the community, which is comprised of approximately 610 acres. The residential portion of the community is subdivided into 28 separate housing associations. The community amenities include an 18 hole golf course, two clubhouses with both indoor and outdoor swimming pools, an exercise center, pharmacy, dental operation, and other maintenance / transportation / medical center and security services necessary in community of this type and expected standard. The Leisure World of Maryland Corporation, manages the individual housing associations as well as the Trust. There are approximately 260 full- and part-time employees of the Leisure World of Maryland Corporation.
