HistoryMaria Teresa's Babies Started as a home day care center in the Aurora Highlands Neighborhood just a few blocks from Pentagon City in 1989. In 2005, we purchased an old home along 23rd Street in the same neighborhood and with a massive remodel; we opened our enrichment center with a Spanish immersion program and our healthy mind/healthy body philosophy. This remodel included many safety features for a daycare center including having a state of the art sprinkler system, 24-hour Carbon Monoxide Monitoring System, Fire Alarm monitoring system and everything required by State and County regulations. We also added a humidifier for the entire building that works in conjunction with our heating system so that children will be comfortable during the dry winter months even if this was not a requirement by the State or the County. We strive to make the children as comfortable as they can be. This is truly a home away from home.SpecialtiesMaria Teresa's Babies Early Enrichment Center promotes a healthy mind and body philosophy using proven early education techniques for ages infants to five years old. We specialize in incorporating education techniques with physical activities and a healthy diet so children acquire healthy attitude toward nutrition and exercise. Our Spanish immersion program guarantees that the children in our care will be bilingual by the time they start school. With our unique location, children truly feel like they are at home and the special training we provide to staff makes this a home away from home.
