The smallest of the Harford County Public School System's nine high schools, Havre de Grace High is proud of its diversity and its close-knit community. The two-building campus straddles Congress Avenue, which is closed during school hours. The three-story main building houses all the academic classrooms, including the science department, computer labs, and an art and tech wing. The main office, nurse's office, athletic director's office, library and cafeteria are also located in the main building. Across Congress Avenue is the gymnasium and auditorium, which houses the school's award-winning music department, widely considered the best music program and auditorium in the county. The school's athletic complex is situated on the opposite side of Juniata Street, and stretches to the nearby Middle School complex. The school is under the leadership of principal Jim Reynolds.
