As a part of Alice Ferguson Foundation, Hard Bargain Farm Environmental Center offers a variety of educational programs for children. It provides specialty programs that promote understanding and stewardship of the natural resources and the legacy of farming in the United States. The center also provides professional development activities for teachers and environmental education practitioners. In addition, it offers various demonstration services, including cow milking, sheep shearing, butter churning and wool spinning. The center operates through a team of certified environmentalists, teachers, architects and engineers. Hard Bargain Farm Environmental Center is located on more than 330 acres of land and maintains an office in Accokeek, Md.
