This historical church was founded on May 12, 1855 and dedicated three years later in 1858 when volunteers finished building the wood-frame building in three acres donated by John Dufief.
Today the church offers Sunday service and regular small group Bible studies. Sunday school and youth group is offered for grades 6 through 12.
The congregation supports the mission of the Presbyterian Church at large and several local charities. The church also sends a group of adults and teens to Drift, Kentucky in August each year to host a vacation bible school for the community and conduct home improvements.
From September through mid-June the church holds two services on Sunday at 8:45 and 11:00 a.m. In the Summer, there is one service at 9:30 a.m.
The church is listed in the Historic Sites Register of Montgomery County.
