The Columbia Jewish Congregation (CJC) is located in the Oakland Mills Interfaith Center, which is nestled between Oakland Mills Middle and High Schools and the Oakland Mills Village Center. Although formerly independent, it is now affiliated with the Reconstructionist movement and is a vibrant multi-generational community with an emphasis on Judaism as a civilization as well as a religion. The song-filled services create a spirit of camaraderie within the congregation. This camaraderie is also extended to fellow users of the Oakland Mills Interfaith Center.
