History
Chesapeake Crab was opened in 2013 by the previous owners of Magothy Beach Seafood Restaurant. The husband used to crab and dock his crab boat in Stevensville at Kent Point Marina and the wife ran the two steamed crab trailers. As of 2018 the business was sold to the Major family, the owners of Kent Point Marina and Kent Point Seafood based on the Eastern shore of Maryland. Hope Major, one of the daughters manages the steamed crab trailer located in Pasadena as well as the social media pages and marketing. She can be found at the trailer every single day steaming crabs. Cyle Major, the youngest of their 3 children and the only son, wakes up every morning around 4am and goes out on the boat to catch the crabs which he then takes to his sister to steam and sell. The entire business is family run and operated by people who know local Maryland crabs.
Specialties
We specialize in fresh seafood from the Chesapeake Bay (Maryland blue crabs). We also steam shrimp, snow crab legs, and our famous seafood platters.
