Burleigh Manor is locally and nationally known as a great school. In the 2006 - 07 school year, it was awarded the Maryland Blue Ribbon School of Excellence. In 2007, it earned the same prestigious award, but on a national level. Its MSA tests are much higher than the Howard County average on whole. It offers many different clubs for the students to take part in, lending to their becoming well-rounded.
