The Baltimore County Police Department is a full-service law enforcement agency that includes more than 90 police officers and over 10 civilians. It provides services through a process of identification, analysis and assessment. With an office in Towson, Md., the Baltimore County Police Department's field services division includes several watch commanders, sergeants and officers who perform patrol activities, initial investigations of criminal complaints, and traffic assignments and related complaints. Its staff also includes several specialized units, including K-9, field training, special response team, traffic homicide, bike patrol, community-oriented policing, victim advocate and agricultural crimes units. The police department offers various services, including traffic incident management, crime mapping and control of sexual offenses. Additionally, the Baltimore County Police Department also provides protection for automobiles and private property.
