Established in 1964, Annapolis Middle School offers a range of academic and extracurricular options to more than 400 students in grades six through eight. Its curriculum includes language arts, instrumental music, math, art, science and English. The school administers sports, special education and English for Speakers of Other Languages programs. It also conducts classes in various foreign languages, such as Spanish, French and Chinese. The school s facilities include a learning laboratory, cafeteria and media center. It operates a parent-teacher-student association that conducts fundraising events and programs. The school is a part of Anne Arundel County Public Schools, which serves over 70,000 students. Anne Arundel County Public Schools is one of the largest school systems in Maryland that employs nearly 5,000 teachers.
