Leaders of Adat Shalom Reconstructionist Congregation describe it as a socially progressive, gender-neutral congregation that seeks to appeal to "Jews with questions." Founded in 1988, the congregation actively reaches out to community charities, and delivers food weekly to a county food bank. The congregation features a choir that performs periodically throughout the year and a classicly trained cantor. Also featured are adult education, youth programs, Hebrew school and Torah study for children.
