Local Muscle was started by the 4 partners in 2010 in Portland, ME. Since then, we have expanded to Burlington, VT and employ over 30 people. We are growing every year and have no signs of stopping.

Local Muscle is Portland's premier moving company. After inspecting the local Portland moving scene, we realized that there was a lack of moving companies who provided an honest, trustworthy, and respectable work ethic. We see the value in treating customers like fellow human beings. We are a young and hungry team of local athletes and artists who are ready to prove that our philosophy of putting customers first will distinguish us from the competition. Moving can be stressful, and you shouldn't have to worry about the character of your moving company. We specialize in local moves but are more than able to move you long distances. We also offer packing services and are able to move heavy items such as pianos, gun safes and wood burning stoves.
