Immaculate Conception School
Immaculate Conception Cathedral School, established in 1950, provides Christ-centered educational programs and services for the development of students. It serves students in pre-kindergarten through grade eight. The school s academic curriculum includes English, math, science, social studies, Spanish, art, music, language arts, computer applications, and religious and physical education. Immaculate Conception Cathedral School also offers the Substance Abuse Prevention Education (SAPE), early care and after-school programs. Its facilities include a library, cafeteria, playground, music room and computer laboratory. Additionally, the school organizes a variety of athletic activities that includes volleyball, basketball, football, cheerleading, and track and field. It conducts various extracurricular events, such as spelling bee contests, science fairs, scouting trips, talent shows and speech competitions. Immaculate Conception Cathedral School is located in Lake Charles, La., and is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
