History
POECU was founded in 1924 by the Employees of the United States Postal Service in New Orleans, LA with the ultimate goal to serve the Financial needs of their co-workers and their families. In October of 2016, POECU merged with Homeland FCU and opened two more branches in the Greater New Orleans Area. Since then, we have also opened our field of membership into a community-based credit union. On top of serving USPS and Homeland Security employees, we also serve the 5th Council District of Jefferson Parish and Covington.
