The Office of Planning and Budget is a part of the Division of Administration, which is governed by the state of Louisiana. The office is responsible for the implementation of performance-based budgeting policies for the executive branch of the state government. It provides long- and short-term financial analysis and operating budget development, control and monitoring services. The Office of Planning and Budget also offers policy development, planning and other management solutions. The office represents the governor and the commissioner of administration on various commissions, councils, task forces and consensus estimating conferences. It is also responsible for the maintenance of a statewide performance database and the integration of information into the budget development process.
