History
Melvin Stovall is a native New Orleanian who taught himself how to cook at a young age as a way to test out new cuisines on his four other siblings. Midnight Noodle is inspired by Melvin's vegan lifestyle and the Thai, Sichuan and Shanghainese cuisine he explored during his years in Los Angeles. Melvin returned to his hometown with eyes open to cuisines he may have passed on as an omnivore and is looking to show New Orleans that you can have Chinese comfort food with fresh ingredients and mystifying spices while still chowing down on a plant-based meal.

Midnight Noodle is located inside the Catahoula Hotel and serves up powerful flavors from traditional Chinese foods--think spicy Sichuan pan-fried dumplings and Shanghai-style Udon noodles--through a 100% vegan lens.
