The Northeast Louisiana Cancer Institute offers a program of cancer services for individuals and families. It is a 30,000-square-foot building that provides radiation and chemotherapy treatment and houses the offices of registered dietitians and social workers. The Northeast Louisiana Cancer Institute employs a staff of radiation therapists and oncologists, medical physicists and dosimetrists, tumor registrars, radiographers, nutritionists, oncology social workers and office support assistants. It offers respiratory gating, mammosite breast treatment, and external beam, intensity modulated and image guided radiation therapy services. The institute provides a range of cancer care services, such as radiation oncology, tumor board conferences, support groups, hospice referral, and social work support and counseling.
