The New Orleans Saints franchise is a member of the National Football Conference. The team, founded in 1966 in New Orleans, was the sixteenth franchise in the NFL. In 1968, the Saints two-year record of 7-20-1 was best ever for an expansion club. With five post-season appearances since the franchise began, the Saints won their first post-season game in 2000 against the St. Louis Rams with a final score of 31-28. Hall of Fame members with ties to the Saints include Jim Taylor, Doug Atkins, Earl Campbell, Jim Finks and Hank Stram. The Saints have played home games at the Louisiana Superdome since 1975.
