HistoryDr. Block grew up in the Greater New Orleans area and graduated from St. Martin's Episcopal School. She attended Florida State University, graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in biological sciences and a minor in chemistry. While attending, she was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa as a junior. Dr. Block attended Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in New Orleans, LA, where she earned a Doctorate of Dental Surgery. It was there that she was inducted into the C. Edmund Kells Honor Society and the Dental Honor Society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon. Following dental school, Dr. Block completed her orthodontic training at the University of Tennessee Department of Orthodontics, the oldest and most prestigious three-year orthodontic specialty program. She earned a certificate of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics and a Master of Dental Science. At the completion of her residency, Dr. Block was awarded the James W.
