Lewco Specialty Products began in founder Lewis Dill s suburban Baton Rouge, La., townhouse. Since then, Lewco has grown from a one-person sales company to a 110,000-square-foot manufacturing plant and global sales office. Lewco Specialty Products are used for different purposes that range from welding protection to thermal insulation. In 1996, Lewco installed a state-of-the-art, high-temperature, non-woven mat process to produce a variety of different mat insulation products that are both asbestos-free and 100 percent free of respirable fibers. Lewco specializes in asbestos-free textiles that pass heat and chemical attack requirements. Lewco products are capable of withstanding temperatures of minus 250 to 3,000 Fahrenheit degrees. Lewco markets and sells its products globally. Lewco customers are in all 50 United States, as well as Mexico, Canada, Asia, Europe, Central America and South America.
