Galvez Middle School is a coeducational institution that provides a range of educational courses to students in grades six through eight. It is operated by Ascension Parish School Board, which also operates other elementary, middle and high schools. Its staff includes classroom and resource teachers, paraprofessionals, specialists, therapists, librarians, counselors, and office and support personnel. It has a library media center that assists students in the development of information literacy skills necessary for independent lifelong learning.
