Established in 1984, the Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System is a 1,600-plus-bed health care facility that offers medical and community services. It serves patients through a network of hospitals, clinics, physicians, and elderly housing and integrated information systems. The facility, also known as FMOLHS, is a nonprofit corporation that staffs more than 9,000 employees. It operates St. Francis Medical Center, St. Francis North Hospital, Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center and St. Elizabeth Hospital. The Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System s subsidiaries are accredited by The Joint Commission. The facility is affiliated with the Catholic Health Association, American Hospital Association and Healthcare Leadership Council.
