The Alexandria Police Department offers a range of services to the area community. Located in Alexandria, La., the department operates a number of divisions. The communications division handles all phone, radio and referral calls as a service for the police and fire departments of the city. The department also has a business watch program that encourages local businesses to form a working relationship with each other and the public safety agencies.
