History
We, at 'City Gelato' have solid understanding of the gelato making, storage and sales resulting from our close collaboration with Mr. Simone Romano. Mr. Simone Romano and his family operated successful gelato shops in Rome over the past 26 years and it was him who initially brought this great concept to Louisiana. We firmly stepped on the Italian traditions and expanded the line of flavors to include American classics such as peanut butter, birthday cake, red velvet cake and as well some new Italian ones such as cannoli gelato. Our work was highly prized by our patrons and it resulted in voting 'Bacio di Roma' the 'Best Frozen Treat' for 2012 by LSU students ('Bacio di Roma' was under our management at this time). City Gelato was launched in March of 2013 with an objective to further introduce and make this great product available to a wider population in the city of Baton Rouge and the state of Louisiana. We craft our product at LSU as a part of the LSU Business Food Incubator.
