Since its inception in 1928, Brookshire Grocery Company has been operating more than 150 supermarkets in Texas, Louisiana and Arkansas. The firm functions under four banners, including Brookshire's Food Stores, Super 1 Foods Stores, Ol Foods and ALPS (Always Low Price Store). Some of the brands offered include Food Club, Full Circle, Valu Time and Paws for Pets. Located in Monroe, La., its various departments comprises of bakery, dairy, grocery, organic, pet, pharmacy, frozen, produce and seafood, among others. Progressive Grocer has honored Brookshire Grocery Company with the Green Grocer Award in 2010.
