History
Born and raised in Tuscaloosa, Alabama; Ben made his way to Louisiana in 1989 when his family moved to Shreveport. He graduated from Loyola College Prep in '91 and from LSU in '96. After LSU, Ben enrolled in Southern University Law School and earned his JD in 1999. In October of the same year he was sworn into the State Bar of Louisiana. Within two years of receiving his bar certification Ben opened his own law practice with emphasis on personal injury, criminal defense, and worker's compensation. Ben is sworn in to practice in all Louisiana District Courts and the United States District Courts for the Western and Middle Districts of Louisiana. He is married to the former Linda Reiser from Beaumont, TX who he met as an undergrad at LSU. They are the parents of twins, Abigail and Bennett and have two dogs, Cooper and Millie. His experience in personal injury claims includes car and motorcycle accidents, train, plane and boating accidents. Within his practice, Ben handles maritime personal injury sustained by offshoremen as well as personal injury to longshoremen. The spouse and children of injured individuals often have claims as well; Ben's experience makes him qualified to handle it all. His law practice also handles any and all criminal defense cases that the District Attorney or Federal Government may charge an individual with. This includes, but is not limited to, drug and narcotic case, driving while intoxicated (DWI/DUI), robberies, murders, batteries, assaults, bank fraud, money laundering, gun charges, probation and parole hearing and more. Ben also handles workers' compensation claims. This area of law applies when an individual is injured while at their workplace.
