History
Villa Early Learning Center was started in 1971 through the foresight of Mother Benedict Bunning of Saint Walburg convent. Through a generous donation from Richard Lillick (music teacher at Villa Academy), Sr. Thomas Noll and the Job Corp were able to remodel our red brick cow barn. There were 14 children in the first class. The third year the school was established, an afternoon class (extended day) was started for 5 year olds. Through the years, many changes have taken place. The enrollment has more than tripled and the waiting list is as large as the classes. Our name has been changed to Villa Madonna Montessori and we are full members and affiliates of the American Montessori Society and the Cincinnati Montessori Society.
