Victoria Ghernautan, M.D., is an endocrinologist with Norton Community Medical Associates –Endocrinology. She earned her medical degree from Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Chisinau, Moldova. Dr. Ghernautan completed her internal medicine residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, New York, New York, and her fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. She is board-certified in internal medicine. Dr. Ghernautan provides care for patients with a wide range of endocrine conditions, including diabetes, thyroid disorders, obesity and other hormonal imbalances. She has a special interest in adrenal pathology, bone and calcium disorders, and pituitary dysfunction. Her advanced training includes completing specialized courses through the Endocrine Fellows Foundation and The Pituitary Society, as well as participating in the Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes (ECHO) bone health program. Dr. Ghernautan’s philosophy of care centers on empowering patients to actively participate in their treatment plans. She encourages open communication and values patients’ goals and expectations as part of the decision-making process. In her free time, Dr. Ghernautan enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and young daughter and cooking for her family.
