Founded in 1983, Tamarlane Industries offers employment services to mentally and physically disabled individuals and is based in Beaver Dam, Ky. Tamarlane Industries is governed by a private board of directors, and offers subcontract assembly services and more than 200,000 square feet of warehouse and storage space. It is a nonprofit, sheltered workshop that subcontract works from Young Manufacturing, National Office Furniture, Daicel Safety Systems of America, Nestaway Division, Dart, Ritatsu and Bowling Green Pallet. The company builds and repairs pallets for various companies, including American Nonwovens, Bedrock Products, Eleison Composites, Franklin Pallet, Morgantown Manufacturing and Stone River Hardwood. Tamarlane Industries receives funds from United Way, an organization that serves mentally and physically disabled clients suffering from learning disorders and multiple sclerosis.
