The Stephen Foster Drama Association is a theatre group that produces Stephen Foster-The Musical. The show is visited each season by an average of 60,000 people from all over the world and has now played to more than two million people. In September 1997, the show returned for the second time to Japan. In January of 1998, singers from Stephen Foster-The Musical joined the Louisville Orchestra for a pops concert featuring the newly orchestrated music from the show. The group also performs the musical, Grease . Shows are held at the J. Dan Talbott Amphitheatre, which features a natural wooded setting on the grounds of My Old Kentucky Home State Park and seats more than 1,400. The company was founded in 1957.
